Hi guys,
So I recently ran out of space on my windows partitioned MacBookPro which I use for gaming. I was thinking that I could use an external SSD to install all my games on, instead of using USB 3.0 I was thinking i should use a thunderbolt connection for the best possible gaming speed. I searched online and found that this setup would come close to the speed of my internal SSD but and could only find 1 decent priced drive (Amazon.com: Transcend 256GB Thunderbolt Solid State Drive StoreJet 500 for MAC (TS256GSJM500): Computers & Accessories)
I noticed there were some SATA3 to Thunderbolt adapters available. Would using a SATA3 to thunderbolt adapter provide the same speed as the 256gb thunderbolt SSD linked above? if so this would be a lot cheaper for me.
Any help would be appreciated.
