So much has changed since my last build in 2008 uefi make my computer boot so quick. But it seems to affect my overclock.

So some questions for you guys since I have been out of the scene for a while. Before you kill me for going AMD My whole build so far cost me under $450. Serious ebay/ Craigslist shopping especially the ssd which I got new for 80 and the Mechanical hard drives were new and free from my neighbor, also he works for Microsoft so free windows 10 key and server 2012 key.

My questions I know a 34in curved monitor is in my future, Should I get 2 270/x or one 390/X? I know the 8gb of v ram will help and direct x12 is a bonus what do you guys think. Also I will trade for the server key if someone has a half decent video card they are willing to part with or an am3+ board or ram.

Not a fanboy of either brand but ATM price per performance is with Nvidia right now and Nvidia is far more power efficient in comparison, The newer card hardly use any power and no real heat issues.

I thought the performance was similar between the 390 and its nvidia competitor? Or do you mean performance per watt which I do agree. What card do you recommend 970? I kinda want to crossfire just because i never done it also not a huge PC gamer yet, just got rid of my xbox one. I may just stay with this 22in screen and crossfire 2 270s i see them for 99 on ebay occasionally. Then hold out for AM4 and the next gen furys then spring for a super monitor. If I did that I dont think you could build a $650 rig that would come close to mine.

If you're going for 3440x1440 you're going to need more than a single video card to really play decently. That is if you want to branch out on the gaming.

I could make a better Intel rig for 650. I'm great at scavenging used parts. I put together a top of the line 2002/2003 era 98 box for less than 100 which those parts are harder to find than good X58 stuff.

Total 556.31 I feel that is is great back for your buck I could take 100 off for unnecessary stuff.
Ill save the 34in curved screen for next year tax return so for 456.31 and add one 270 or 270x 2gb for 100- 140 or 380 4gb for 189.99 or 390 8gb for 300. Even @ 456.31 it plays all may games at max @ 1080p. I only invest in a gaming crd if i get serious.
Anyone can recommend a good mechanical keyboard I may go das keyboard but its not backbit.

I decided to stay with 1080p for now I will wait till 3440x1440 screens drop 500 bucks. My new question is what should I get for a video card I am realy leaning towards a 270 and cross fire but My second slot will only run at 4x. I may just get a 380 or 380x will that max out 1080p gaming? I would rater do crossfire just for the experience if the performance is the same. I have been out of the scene for years has dual gpus matured or are there still issues?
