I tried to put a copy of my wife's windows 7 ISO(from her computer) on my flash drive so I could put it on my computer and use the ISO for my virtual machine. My wife's computer wouldn't cooperate when I tried to do so. Now my computer won't read the flash drive when I plug it in. Do you guys think I corrupted it? Is there anything that you guys can think of that I can do to get the flash drive working again?

Thanks

Can you reformat it? How old is it? Has it been used a lot? Flash memory has a finite amount of write cycles - so if it' was used a lot (written to), then it's possible it could have wore out. Or if it's a cheap flash drive, the flash cells aren't that high of quality and thus have a higher chance of dying.

I can't do anything with it, it's about 4 years old, it's been used quite a bit. Nothing happens when I plug it in to any USB slots, doesn't show up anywhere.

Does it act the same way on a different computer?

If so...I'd say it's probably toast and time to buy a new one.
