Cpu power???

Okay so my computer turned off randomly while playing games I assumed it was power supply but I replaced that wasn't the problem I ran through the steps but this ones got me stumped because it will start up when I leave 8-pin cpu connector out but when I plug it in the no sign of power except for my cpu fan which looks like it gets some power then it's not enough but when I leave cord out it turns on but doesn't seem too boot if it does it shows 0 signs because my monitor doesn't even turn on

My build is
I7-4770k
Gtx 970
Asia hero vii
16gbs ram hyper x 8 x 2
And power supply is corsair 750w

Mind you everything on this computer was running just fine for almost 6 months

No blue screen it literally turn off like someone pulled the plug

that exact same thing happen to me and it turn out to be the mobo taking a dirt nap.
that however don't mean thats exactly whats wrong with urs tho. try putting another gpu if u have a lesser one around to at least see if it could be the gpu.
