If it's an optical mouse what ever you do don't change the tracking led,If you do there is a big chance it will never track right again,you would have a cool looking mouse but what's the sense of having it if it wont work

Ok for the mouse (i'm putting two LEDs in it) i went here to calculate: http://www.casemodgod.com/led_calculator.htm

i used the Series LED config. one. My supply: 12V, LED Forward Voltage, 3.3V, my desired LED current was 5mA, with 2 LEDs. Limiting resistor cam out to be 1080 Ohms, and Resistor wattage came to be .027W.

Since Radioshack only offers a 560 Ohm 1/2W resistor as their biggest one, do i need two?

If yes, how should i connect them?

If you have done something like this, putting two LEDs in a row, could you please show me a picture??
