USB drive acting weird

I saved a word 2003 document on a flash drive at work. When I save it it shows a slight faded icon and says .WRP. When I open the usb drive on my home pc with word 2013, the .WRP file does not appear. Is the file lost or will it only open on my work pc with Word 2003?

It might be a hidden file. Go into folder options in control panel and enable showing hidden files.

Hi, a .wrp file is a 3D image file not a word doc... Not sure how a .doc file got saved as .wrp? But a faded icon normally means a hidden file or a temp file waiting to be burnt to a cd...

If it's there when you show hidden files, try change it to .doc, if it doesn't work, you'll have to save it again from work. Make sure it says .doc
