I am buying a new gaming laptop as a gift to my son for graduating Boot Camp (Navy). I have a max budget of $2500 but I would prefer to keep it in the $2000 area if possible.
Requirements:
17"+ HD Screen
Blu-Ray ODD
Minimum 256GB SSD would prefer 500GB
1TB Storage HDD
GeForce 980m (unless I am overlooking a better option)
24GB DDR3L 1600MHz SDRAM (Again if there is a better option)
Intel i7 4720HQ 2.6Ghz (Better option...blah, blah, blah)
Windows 7 Pro-64bit (can download the free upgrade to Win10 for a later install)
I think that hits most of my concerns. If there is a screaming deal on something and I just need to order an additional hard drive and install it or something that isn't a big deal. As long as the total package stays under budget. Thanks for your help.
