Hello,

The other day my D: drive just vanished from mycomputer window, and i can no longer access the data. When I run a drive checker it Fails the Short-DST test, and suggests that I run the DOS checker because it can fix the problem sectors. If anyone has experience doing this and could give me some tips that would be great :)

I tried that, the command prompt does not see that there is a D: drive So i cant access or point any commands` to check or repair that drive

What "drive checker" are you running? SeaTools? WD Lifeguard?

It means to use that software's DOS version to run it outside of Windows and attempt to repair the drive.
