More than likely not. Very minor changes to the motherboard would be enough to make it either very difficult or impossible.

Yeah unfortunately I have to agree. Every model has slight differences. Just like how different models of iPods have very similar but different batteries that are not interchangeable from model to model.

maybe if you are very skilled in using power tools to adjust those minor changes but that could be a very expensive mistake lol

Hard to upgrade Mac-book Air and Mac Mini. I highly encourage you to get into the 'Pro' model. That is the only mac you should worry about as far as upgrading goes.
