Ok my computer has been progressivly getting worse becuase before i wasnt able to enter my control panel becuase explorer would just crash. And now i started up my computer and restarted a couple of times and i cannot see my tool bar(the one with the start button) and my cousin is bringing my xp disk christmas.. what can i do in the meantime? oh and when i click my windows key it doesnt do anything.

you can always use those scan-from-the-web programs but i think they are crappy, best to get some sort of stand-alone boot-up antivirus...

Just downloaded it, looks good, just another program onto my computer to keep it safe along with my AdAware and SpyBot.

PC-Cillin is the best anti-virus software I have ever used... You can download it with 1 free update and it will run but no updates after that unless you purchase it.

you should have from 2 to 3 programs protecting your system;
at least an antivirus program and firewall (although that's not necessary if you're not using the internet) and sometimes a spyware removal program

if you use too many it will slow down your system

I find Antivir to be pretty light on resources too
