Printers: What's your pick?

I need a relatively compact and CHEAP color printer.
95% of my prints will simply be text.

HP makes a good printer, they are the only brand that I have had a lot of use with.

epson makes some of the best printers out there.

I just bought a Dell 8400 and it came with a "Made in China" compact Dell 720 Photo color printer. Doesn't seem to be that bad. Nice color prints and rather fast for a freebie. Don't know how long it's gonna last. I only use it for color prints and refer to my Brother HL-1240 Laser for my other stuff. Good Luck! CP

I got a cheap-arse Epson printer for $68 (aus) which is not very fast, but has fairly good quality

HP, Canon, Epson, Lexmark - Get any of them, but I prefer buying HP's and if I require a photo printer, then canon does better jobs.

I use a lexmark all in one, scans, copies, and prints. Works really well imao only set me back like $90.

Wow adam, that sounds great! Where can I find the model number on that?
The one I've got picked out is a no-name laserjet for like $125 USD.

Well the one I have is a ink jet printer the make and model are Lexmark X75 Here's a link to a another Lex ink jet if your interested $80 but, If you want a laserjet they're pretty spendy for a nice brand name. Hope I helped.
