Athlon 64FX vs. 64 4000+

These look EXATCLY the same to me. Is there a difference and which one is better?

FX-53s multipliers arn't locked off the back. It is overclockable out of the box.

they are effectively the same, when they released the fx53 they stopped selling the fx51 and when the fx55 came out they changed the name of the 53 to 4000+, it benches the same as the 53 and is identical as far as i know.

Correct me if I'm wrong but fx is a sledgehammer core and the 4000+ isn't.

I believe it is still the 53, and the 4000+ has less cache and a locked multiplier
I also think they have a 4400+ now

i dont believe there is a 4400... being as the fx55 will eventually prolly become the 4200 and so on...

also they have same 1mb l2 cache


edit: oh yeah and geckoecho they have same core also... exactly the same me thinks

that link has processors that arent released... dont know why you linked it. the newest processor is fx55

FX-53 and 4000+ are 100% same

just the difference in name and packing

those are the processors that have been made, or are going to be made, with the specs of each
the 4000+ and FX-53 are different with the L2 cache, and the locked multiplier on the 4000+
