Alright I've been planning and saving for this for months. Only 15 so i dont have a big budget. 600 now prolly 750 when i buy whatever i get next week. Heres the parts and links to them.

Mobo - CHAINTECH nForce3 VNF3-250 $75
Specs

VidCard - CHAINTECH nVidia GeForce 6600GT $198 Specs

PSU - POWMAX Demon 480W $27 Specs

CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3000+ $148 Specs

HD - 36.7 WD 10,000RPM $109
Specs

Mem - Geil Value Series 184 Pin 512MB PC-3200 $81.65 Specs

Floppy, Mouse, Keyboard - w/e... $20
Case - w/e $30
CD-RW - $20

Total - $708

Final note - I am planning on upgrading this so keeping it fairly cheap now is ok. Im eventually gonna get another 512mb, another 36.7 WD HD to run Raid-0 and a DVD-RW so yea. Any suggestions yall? And did I forget any main parts... hope not lol.

Your video card won't work with your motherboard because that card is for PCI-EXPRESS and your motherboard doesn't have a slot for that, so get the 6600GT the AGP version here:

Nice computer. If I were you, I would get this ram instead:

that is what I have. Your computer is too nice to not have this ram becaue XMS ram is more reliable and faster because it has lower latency. It is good to have all parts good if you want a nice comp. Plus CORSAIR is a good realiable company. good luck ;)

I don't think the majority of the people on these forums knows how much faster a 10k rpm drive is over a regular 7200 one. IT'S NOT MUCH , considering how much of a price differance they have. Now a 15k hd, that's another story for a differant day.

PCboy - thanks for the heads up on the vid. card. that woulda been dumb.

3lite Bullet - that be an extra $100... thats about another 3 weeks... so yeah... gotta have it now for christmas. besides i'll get another 36.7 by spring

GeckoEcho421 - I guess you know more than me but saying i have a 10,000 rpm hd to my friends is well worth the $109 :)

apokalipse - i'll have mad cash over the summer. i'll prolly get a new 939 comp then and give this one to my bro or something. just need it now to play hl2, wowarcraft, and such and such... nice suggestion though.

But I still have a week to think, tell yall the final then. any more comments?
