No.. He has the non professional version of office i bought the professional one and then i asked my friend for his to see if his would work.

ok, so this makes no sense to me. I am doing a deployment of Office 2003 as I write this to over 2000 machines. I have not seen anything like this. the only problem that I have seen is when launching outlook for the first time you get an error when closing down, but that can be ignoried.
Is your machine legit? non pirated? Not the application, but the OS. Also, have you called MS on this? They might be able to provide better info that even we can

yeah my machine is legit.. its a emachine and it came with xp pre installed... and two disks.
but it is NOT legit to use copies of other peoples software on more than one machine unless his copy has multiple licensing on it......as to your project getting done on time......why the heck did you wait till the last minute to start asking questions??
