Have re-installed winxpsp2, and now upgraded from office 97 (with outlook 98) to office xp (with outlook 2002).
To retain email history, notes and address book, have saved outlook.pst file to alternate drive.
I used to be able to substitute this in instead of the newly created file, but I cannot detect a .pst file for outlook 2002!
Does it use a .pst file?
How do I now import?

pls help smurph

You can also just attache to it though the program. File, Data File management, and then Select PST. you can attach to it that way.

The PST should be in the following location.
sysdrive\documents and settings\logon name\local settings\applications data\microsoft\outlook

This is the default save location for Outlook 2002.

Good luck

Yeah, understand, but i searched my system for the Outlook 2002 .pst and did not return any results!
It seemed to have a different file extension.
Is that the file I need to backup/copy in future?
