Totally. I mean I'd say ditch the 3570k for a 4690k, go Z97, get 840 EVO, ect ect.

Well... I don't have that much money to upgrade in one go. I'll have to upgrade from the lowest spec first.

CPU I will wait for the next gen one haha. Going for graphic card and power supply first. Monitor also planing to get a new one. 24 inch ips, any recommendations too?

Don't take what I'm saying the wrong way. If you currently own the parts you have now like the CPU ect then keep them. That 3570k will last you a long while. I was speaking in terms of if you were buying all parts now.

Also, if you have an Antec Truepower 450w PSU then that will be fine for the GTX 970.

To the monitor, it's not IPS but the Asus 144Hz panel. Great for gaming.

Sorry that I misread the power supply. Is the FSP groups ATX-400PNR 400watt only. Only have 1 6pin power connector
