Help! Fast!

It says my Catalyst version is 14.4 ~~~
Also:

AMD Catalyst Control Center Version: 2014.0417.2226.38446

Driver Packaging Version: 14.10.1006-140417a-171099C

When you reboot your computer, on the Acer splash screen, it should have text that says "Press XXX to enter setup" or something like that. Press the corresponding button (possibly F12, F2, or Del), and look for "Status" or "Info" or something like that.

When I reboot, I get the ACER emblem with the little circles going in a bigger circle, but no option to type anything. Then it goes straight to my log in screen :/

If this helps, My BIOS Version/Date : Insyde Corp. V2.08, 12/7/2012

Ok that catalyst version you have is old and outdated and yeah it does cause lag and some issues your laptop is doing.
Go to control panel of windows, go to programs add/remove.
Find the catalyst suite and choose uninstall make sure it takes everything.
Reboot your laptop so it can take effect.
AMD Catalyst 14.7 Beta Driver for Windows
Be sure to download this as that will be the most recent driver pack
Yes I know its in beta format but thats what amd has to offer.
Choose the right download for your os and download that.
If you have windows 8.0 upgrade to 8.1 otherwise the installer may not let you install it.
Windows Store will have that free of charge.

I'll be back later on going to look up some more info on your laptop.
I'll be back if I find something to help remedy the heating problem.

Ok, I looked in your manual, and you need to press F2 during POST (Power On Self Test), which is what is happening while the Acer splash screen is showing. So once you turn your computer on and see the Acer logo, start pressing F2 until you get into BIOS/Setup. You'll have to navigate with your arrow keys on your keyboard between tabs and such, but just look for anything that may be have Temp info.

I'll be back if I find something to help remedy the heating problem.

We've suggested pretty much all that he can do for remedying his heating problem:
-Play at lower resolution/lower settings
-Cooling pad (or like what he's doing now, raised with a fan blowing cold air underneath)
-Clean out dust from his fans/vents with canned air
-Re-paste CPU/GPU

Just rebooted, and I was pressing F2 the entire time and nothing happened :/ Going to install your link above right now!

Also. the link you sent appears to be JUST the AMD Driver Display download, what about all the other things that were uninstalled in the process?
