The adw cleaner is an adware cleaner, it doesn't even install onto your computer, it works great. Used it to clean out a friends comp. Its not a virus scanner

I also noticed a lot of more annoying ads lately on many forums I visit regularly

and one of them got me the moneypak Trojan yesterday. it was the only thing that was open. I was browsing the usual forums and got that.
also my antivirus was triggered few times from the forums
