Spiking Issue

Done the methods you advised off, still spiking but temps are alot cooler.

Does SimCity still cause the computer to power off, or has that been tried yet?

Also, make sure to update graphics drivers from nVidia's site.

Try decreasing the graphics settings for RuneScape temporarily as well to either low or medium to see if the problem still persists.
