Hi, just a quick question and I hope I'm in the right place. Apologies if not.

Is this a decent gaming laptop?

Also, would it be easily down gradable to win7?

Intel Core i5-4200H
6 GB
GeForce GTX 760M
Microsoft Windows 8.1

It doesn't have to be able to play things on ultra, just as long as it plays most things on low/medium settings and doesn't melt!

Thanks in advance

Here's benchmarks for that GPU:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M - NotebookCheck.net Tech

It's a decent system - mostly depends on what games you're going to be playing. Just note those benchmarks are a basic guide - you can play on higher resolutions (like 1080p) if you customize the settings rather than just using the default "Low/Medium/High/Ultra" settings.

And honestly, why downgrade? Might as well just keep Win8... going to be more of a hassle to downgrade anyway (plus you'll have to purchase a Win7 license). That said - there should be drivers for everything; difficult part may be getting manufacturer's software working on it.

Thanks for the info.

What do you mean manufacturer's software? Do you have an example?

Thanks again.

Hmm, just found this:
According to the Indonesian news site Detik.co, Andreas Diantoro, the president of Microsoft Indonesia had ‘confirmed' that ‘Windows 9′ (now named Windows 10) will be a free upgrade for all Windows 8 users.

For now I'll take it with a grain of salt.

Would be nice though - would mean I would get multiple copies of 10 for free.
