the only main differences between xp pro and home is, pro is better if u do lans and you need administrator options (want people to not be able to install programs)

anyone? at all, hearing some things about proc not great cuz its only 512k?! i know its a bunch of trouble but could someone help me make sure im not screwing myself? :p thanks

but the most i could prolly do is $1800,

With the mobo I listed, you wont need an ethernet card. Look at my last post for a good mobo/cpu combo.
 
hmmm, ok just noticed this mobo has this: "Onboard LAN: Marvell 88E8001 GbE " is that ethernet? also are nforce ne good?
