My system's 400W psu is all used up. And suddenly a brilliant idea came to mind!

I'll get another PSU and stick is in two of my front bays! hehe

Any PSU recommendations?

Just go to any site and get a 580 watt PSU....Its not very hard.......

Yeah do you plan on flipping that extra PSU on everytime you get on the computer or what? Plus a PSU needs a motherboard to send a signal to it to 'turn on' the PSU and have it send power to everything unless you make a "Test PSU" which allows the PSU to give power without needing the motherboard. This requires the cutting of a couple wires though and technically if you cut the wires and spliced them to your current PSU then they'd both switch on when the motherboard power button is pressed. They should anyway....in theory

go to www.casemodgod.com in their "How To" section for making a Test PSU so you have an idea of what you will have to do.

Wouldn't putting a PSU in the front panel cause all sorts of heat and airflow problems?
Seems to me with all that hot air in the front of the case it'd make the drives more vulnerable to wear and also screw up the airflow through the rest of the case.
