HD, soundcard or WinAmp problem?

I copied the file this morning without Winamp running in the background. It froze.

I just copied another big file multiple times copy/move to different folders.

I will try the old file again and run a scandisk if it freezes.

Do you know the chkdsk /switch to scan for bad sectors?

chkdsk /R . Yup, i guess probably the bad sectors are causing this trouble.

I copied the damn file again, to a diff folder this time, and I got the 7F BSoD. I am doing a chk/r now, and maybe test my memory... GRR I hate testing my memory, it takes so long.

Any other idea's? I think this is weird, only this file is causing trouble (Delphi7 trial setup)

Hmm... I think the /r switch is wrong. It went way too fast. Found no errors.


EDIT: ok... you are right.. /r is for bad sectors. What do I do now? test memory? I tested my mem about a month ago>no errors.
