I cant beleive this! I have 2 cards laying around besides my old skool stash. A Geforce3 TI500 and a GeforceFX 5600 ULTRA(256mb). I put them all in my recent machine and played Doom3 w/ the FPS meter on and the Geforce3 PWNED the FX! i was runin like 35 frames/s on the Geforce3 and like 22 on the FX. Whats up w/ that?

Did you install the latest drivers for both cards? You should uninstall them, put in new card, and re-install them.

Thats exactly what i did and those are the results i came up w/. Here is a SS of it while im using the FX card. the others didnt come out to well as like this one but at least w/ this one you can barely see the 17fps. Ill try later on this week.http://img83.exs.cx/img83/8110/Doom317fps.jpg

you do have them both on the same settings right, and not like the auto select?

Yup same settings and everyhitng. Its all the same except for the card it self.

FX line cards are horrible with DX9 games, i wouldn't be too shocked if the Ti ran a bit better.

My FX 5700 does alright. But yeah it definitely can't handle DX9. But I sit in 40's FPS with nothing going on with high settings, no aa, no af, 800x600 resolution, and it looks a lot better than the picture you're posting.

How much RAM do you have in the machine you tested it with? As that plays a good role in the speed of games.

In your sig you state you have a P4 1.3....i don't think they made anything less than 1.5's....
