does anyone know how i should open a .rar file?

you can either download winrar or winace
i prefer winace personally....but either will do

i used it ....and i extracted it and it turned into a .bin ??? it cant open it

well, what was it that you are trying to unrar? sounds like it may be an image to burn to a cd...
rar was just a way to compress the file and make it a smaller size

sounds like you may need to create a .cue file beofre burning it to a cd. but, yes, the .bin is an image that you will need to burn to a cd (recommend Nero for burning .bin files)

negative man unless you are using linux (hehe...forgot to ask which os you were using....) i'm just going to assume that you are using windows though
i've always had to burn them so, i would use nero or alcohol 120% (unless anyone else on here has been able to w/o burning?!?)

guess you could try a virtual mounted drive, would be easier to burn but a vd should work.

ok, i think that burning would be just a smidge easier... but, yes, i don't see any reason why a vmhd wouldn't work...
