I already have a 17" monitor floppy drive opticle mouse and xp pro.

Also will i need to flash the bios for the cpu to work with the motherboard?

Is the psu any good, as it is a cheap one, and it says the wires are shorter than usual. will they be long enough?

Thanks, trif.

First of all, your off to a damn good start. Getting the
Abit AV8-3rd Eye Via K8T800 Pro is a good idea, since its the best socket 939 mobo. Your processor is'ent a bad choice either. That Video Card on the other hand is'ent a good choice. Member 256mb/ bit is the type of card you want. Plus you do not wanna exceed under these speeds for a gaming computer.
ClockCore Speed 400mzh
Effective Memory Speed 800mhz

Another thing that case you should just drop, its a peice of crap to be more consisive. I would buy my computer hardware from www.newegg.com that page your at dont look to handy. Here is a link to some better cases.

http://www.newegg.com/app/SearchProductResult.asp?Submit=Go&DEPA=0

I would also get a Western Digital hard drive or Seagate. I would get a diffrent PSU to.

newegg doesn't ship to England, sadly as my soon to be pc would be so much better.

for the graphics card, its either that or a 6600gt agp or get the abit ax8 motherboard with a pci express 6600gt.

case, i don't know what is wrong with that one, apart from its slightly over priced. could you sugest a similary priced one from overclockers.

Well your gonna need a case with some fans in it. Athlon 64 need good cooling. I guess for YOUR budget and that sites poor selection of cases the Antec PlusView 1000AMG Metallic Gray File Server Case.

Note this case can hold up to 5x80mm fans. So it dont come with all 5. I highly recommend you to fill all the fan slots for alot cooler system.

You would be better off with the XFX 6600GT AGP card.... And with the 90nm processor (winchester) you will have to flash the bios... But it is worth it. It's much better than the 130nm version (NewCastle).
