New CPU and M/B

currently i have a athlon xp 1600+ with 512 of sdram

i want to upgrade it to probably a 2.5gig with maybe 512 ddr333
and was wondering want sort of motherboard is a good one i have a fair bit on money to spend so money isnt a problem but if i cant i would probably try get a better graphics card i have abouty $1200 bucks to spend after the cpu and ram what graphics card and motherboard should i get ?

i personally like

asus, they rock! i would go check out www.newegg.com, as they have some of the best prices i have seen, for 1200$ you could get a pretty kickass mobo/proc/video card, easily
