Hi guys,

I'm currently on a mission to upgrade my packard bell imedia s3810 to be able to run battlefield 4 on recommended hardware.

Currently i have-

Ram: 7gb ddr3 1333mhz

GPU: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 660 (2GB) Graphics Card (Synergy Edition) PCi-E (2x DVI) HDMI DisplayPort (VGA Adaptor) - ZT-60904-10M - CCL Computers

CPU: intel core i3 540 @3.07 ghz

Case: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CSGJ0R8/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers

PSU: http://www.amazon.co.uk/CiT-650W-Power-Supply-Rails/dp/B002Q8HFDE/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt

I don't know if this is good enough, I feel a new CPU is needed as the recommended is a quad-core at 3.0ghz and the i3 is a dual core (I think) I also can't find out the socket type on the stock motherboard

None of this is bought yet, it would be appreciated if you could warn me about anything that might not fit or work.

Thanks, Matthew

Need to be a bit more clear as Googling the model you gave us doesn't turn up with much.

What do you have now, and what were you trying to upgrade to?

The i3 530 is a first gen Core i dual core with HT. It uses socket 1156. The RAM you have is reusable but you will need a new motherboard if you want to upgrade the CPU unless you want to buy used.

Also, the case and PSU listed are the same link. The 660 can handle BF4 on lower settings but you will need to upgrade the processor. The minimum for a PSU I can recommend is a Corsair CX500.
