Critical Error(render) Shader Model 3.0 is required.

Just built my new computer and tried to play some eso after installing all the latest drivers. But i keep getting this error message. "Error initializing D3D9 device: Shader Model 3.0 is required. Its depressing ! Tried a alot of trouble shooting, please help a guy out !!!

radeon r9 270
intel pentium g3220
msi h81m- e34 (1150 intel chipset)
That's all the relevant hardware i believe

What version of Windows, and are you running the latest 14.4 drivers for your video card?

Im running windows 7 ultimate. I got the 64 bit window 7 drivers from the msi site, so im assuming that they are the latest

Go to Catalyst Control center and check. More than likely they aren't the latest. Make sure Windows is up to date as well.

says "AMD Catalyst control center cannot be started. there are currently no settings that can be configured using Amd catalyst control center."

Then go to AMD's website and download the latest drivers.

Fixed! I Uninstaller all my drivers and reinstalled the gpu driver directly from amd rather than from the msi site. THANKS
