New GPU help

Hey i recently posted on here about an issue with getting my new 1gb palit 650 oc edition working. I have since solved the problem posed on said thread, however now a new one has arisen. I have plugged my GPU into the PCI-E port on my motherboard, connected it to the power supply via a 6-pin PCI-E cable, however now i can't install the drivers on it because i can't get any display from my integrated card. (radeon 8570 HD) Am i simply doing things in the wrong order? or are my integrated Graphics and my new dedicated graphics interfering with each other?

Leave your monitor plugged into the dedicated card and it should disable the IGP. Once you're in Windows uninstall the AMD drivers, use this program to uninstall only the AMD graphics drivers.
Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 12.7.1.0

Then install the Nvidia drivers directly downloaded from their site.

So let me get this straight. I turn of my computer, plug my new card and it's 6-pin pci e cable in. put my DVI cable into the Dedicated and turn it on. Should it then eventually show the windows login?

Yes. If it isn't then see if the video is being output via the onboard graphics by just unplugging the cable and plugging it into the motherboard while it's on. If it works log into Windows and see if it's detects your graphics card.
