Confused that my laptop still works?

So last night I made the classic mistake of spilling coke on my laptop - completely all over the keyboard and everything. I tried drying it out for 45 minutes and then switched it back on only for it to tell me it couldn't find an operating system, so I assumed the hard drive corrupt. Then I tried again this morning and the computer wouldn't even switch on properly, the display wouldn't turn on and there was one single light, the wireless LED, attempting to flicker on but seemingly failing to do so. So more out of hope than desperation I tried to turn it on again 10 minutes ago... and it's fine. The hard drive isn't corrupt, the computer still seems to be relatively fast and the only problem is the keyboard is a bit sticky as I type now.

How is it still alive? Haha

Probably shorting out somewhere. If you want it to live I would take it apart and properly cleaning it before it damages it permanently.

Even though it's working now it is important to clean it anyway. Coke is very acidic and I would worry about things corroding.

Cheers guys. I've cleaned the keyboard thoroughly and just gonna give the inside a go-over now.
