Transfer over network spotty, help please

I ahve a netgear n600 wireless dual band gigabit router. When I transfer files now the transfer rate is extremely slow now. I have factory reset the modem, updated the firm ware, and even formatted my computer to make sure no lingering bugs are looming and limiting the transfer speed over the internet. Laptop formatted as well.

Can anyone help, or should I buy a new modem. Had it 3 yrs. It's the same wired and wireless. Spotty and i cant stream my movies over wired and wireless.

Check to see what the speed rate is on the NICs.

it's gigabit. on all but one.
Before this week I was fine. I haven't installed anything new

yeah. Did a fresh install of the updated drivers for it after fresh install

17.6kb transfer rate, compared to before 2.00mb to 8.00mb depending on device and distance

This is why I asked for transfer rates. It sounds like your wireless transfer rate is dropping to 1Mb. It's a problem I've been running into myself.
