3D Mark score

Hmmm I think my system is exellent, but I have not overclocked, I will try 3dmark05 and see what my score is.

Edit: it is 3938. Is this an Ok score? I expected a little higher, or is this a bad score? I have pretty great hardware so I think something would be wrong if this isn't a very good score.

Not sure if I've replied to this thread yet, but my 3DMark05 score is 5136, and my 3DMark03 is......12 thousand....ah i forget...its in my sig.

How does the X800XT run in games? I have an X800 Pro and it does great in most games although it stutters in Doom 3. How is your Doom 3 performance?

I shouldn't be so cocky, well my score in 3dmark05 seemed dissapointing. Although I do not have Doom 3. But I do have Hl2 and it runs perfect on all highest settings (except for Hl2: dm for some reason) and I played the Doom3 demo on everything highest and it ran very smooth and perfect. I am just puzzled by my low score though? The Sapphire is supposed to be the best of the X800 series (PCMagazine said so..)

I would think that card would get more than 4000 pretty easily....but 4000 is still good:D

Mine gets about 3000 when its not OCed

Esse. that seems about right. I have an x800pro and get around 3645 without overclocking it. Just make sure you have updated your chipset drivers as well as the latest drivers for your vid card.

I have an X800Pro and I get around 4800 without overclocking, and 5136 with overclocking. You should definately be seeing more with the XT P.E. Do you have your chipset drivers installed? Also, are you using at least Catalyst 4.10? 4.10 fixed a major performance bug in ATI's X800 series.

Got my new system all set up now (apart from one of my new 512mb 3200 DDR Ram sticks which is being sent back for replacement... so am running on just 512 at the mo instead of 1gb)

Spec: Gigabyte K8NF-9 Mobo, Athlon 64 3200+ S939 (winchester reg clock speed 2000mhz) oc'd to 2235mhz, Gigabyte GV-NX66T128vp 6600 GT PCI-E turbo force edition Oc'd to 537mhz (clock) / 1.18ghz (memory) with 128mb dd3 ram, 512 pc3200 DDR (awaiting replacement of other identical stick), Audigy 2, seagate barracuda 8mb cache 7200rpm 180gb drive, western digital 7200rpm 8mb cache 60gb drive, etc

3DMARK01 : 18830

3DMARK03 : 8483

Aquamark : 55504

Only prob am having with my system is temperature (CPU is fine idles at about 28-30c, mobo/case temp is alright usually 25-27c, but my 6600GT idles at 66-70c (when i dont o'c it!!!) and hits around 88-91c when benchmarking)... when I played doom3 it looked awesome until these bloody black dots started appearing (like black snow)... I have heard this is due to overheating, my card has no fan... it comes with two huge heatsinks and a big heatpipe... but I dont think it should get this hot, have emailed gigabyte to see what they say (as the place I bought it has a 7working days return policy, i've had it for 9!)
