Graphic card upgrade; multiple options.

Max resolution set at: 1920x1080
Supposedly limited at 60hz since it's a TV not a monitor.
So, with that in mind any FPS above 60 won't matter.

Question + Information:
I need a graphic card upgrade to play the current generation games.
With that in mind, I would also like to play games in the coming 2-3 years.
Although, at the same time I would like to have all the graphical settings maximized on 1080p.
With games in mind like The Witcher 3, The Witcher 3 is rumored to make the ''Geforce 780ti'' struggle with 30-45 FPS.
Not to mention that a game like crysis 3 already makes the 780 GTX cry.


Also:
I am not planning on upgrading to 1440p or any 4k resolution, and don't think I will for a long time.

Budget + Options:
Currently I have € 1.000 euros I can invest, all in all I would rather limit the amount I have to spend though.

Regardless of what i chose I will most likely have to get a new Power Supply.


Option 1: EVGA Geforce 780TI SC

Option 2: EVGA GTX 780 SC 3GB
€ 489,-

Option 3: EVGA Geforce 770 SC + SLI in 2015
€ 324,- per card
Option 3: EVGA Geforce 760 SC + Buy Geforce 880 in 2015 (Maxwell)

I would rather take a EVGA because they overall seem to do a lot better with the factory overclock, besides that with the proper cooling they have, I could try to overclock it a nod in the future.

Except for the 760 GTX choice, which could always change.

I do not know if it's worth jumping ship to AMD, but they overall seem to want too much Power and some of the key features from the PhysX will not be included.
With the graphics being the only reason I want to maximize the output.

60hz doesn't limit your FPS, only when Vsync is enabled which causes stuttering anyways.

You'll need a new PSU. Obviously, your best option is the 780ti. Any quality 650w PSU will do you for quite a long time. Seasonic G series, Corsair HX/AX, ect.

BTW, Crysis 3 only makes graphics cards cry if the AA is turned way up. Otherwise most setups can run it fine.

Will the 200 euro hop make it more future proof?
Or is the increase sub 10-15% not that huge for any games in the next 3 years?

Well, you should have the budget to make a 780ti and good PSU happen so I say why not?
The 780ti is quite a bit more powerful than the 780. Not such a thing as "future proof" where GPUs are concerned. You just get what you can and hope for the best.

Yeah I'll try and grab a 780 ti next month.

Just getting too old or something, these graphic card prices are getting insane nowadays.

Or it was just that they were less demanding on games.

Graphics card prices are getting insane due to less competition from AMD and Nvidia changing up how they sell their high end cards.
