Actually most PC's these days are coming without them. You can install the SATA drivers with a slipstream CD and/or I believe the Ultimate Boot CD may allow you to install SATA drivers without a floppy. But since the floppy is only $7, why not? That's the real question :p

Everything sounds good to me besides two things. I would peronsally get a diffrent ASPIRE case. Such as the best one i suggest getting. Another thing is that mobo you have is'ent the best 939 board.

While all 939 mobo are basicly the same amount of money why not get the best for 10$ more. I highly recommend the
Abit AV8 3rd Eye Via K8T800 Pro. This mobo came out later then your mobo. It is alot better built for faster Athlon 64 bits, such as 3500 and up. Its also built purly for over clocking the 64 bits. I promise you this mobo will be alot more stable and way more flexible. Its obviously better then the MSI. I would also get a HD 10000rpm set up. Abit 3rd Eye has it too.

I was wondering about that. They're both 7200rpm (most ide and sata) but whats the real differance?

The transfer rate or something on ide is 133mb/s while sata is 150mb/s and sata is just a cuple of bucks more. For the dvd burner I would spend about $5 more and get a dual layer support one.
