Headphones dont work anymore...

Alright I got these microphone/headphones like last week and they worked fine then I wanted to listen to my speakers and my headphones so I installed this "y" looking thing and I could hear out of my speakers but not my headphones. Now that I uninstalled the "y" and just use my headphones they wont work anymore

You can't have the headphones and speakers working similtaneously with a standard configuration. Make sure that's it's plugged into the green slot in the back of your computer.

Yea they are
and the microphone works but the headphones wont

ummm...yes its installed and works fine with the speakers....

Make sure there isn't an inline volume control for the headphones that got bumped.
