$800 budget build PC

Alright one more little comparison. I found an FX-9370 for $206, which is a pretty good price. However the power consumption is terrible. I kind of didn't realize how much I would be utilizing cores, video rendering, streaming gameplay, ect. which I will all be doing a lot of. Do you think the FX 9370 for that price is still not worth it compared to the i5-4570? For what I will be personally doing of course..

Edit: Nevermind, I don't think it's worth the extra wattage and I don't quite want to get into liquid cooling at this moment lol, but still I'd like to hear your thoughts about this.

The TDP is 220w which means you will need an expensive board that will cost around 200 bucks or more for a board that actually supports it. THe 9370 and 9590 are just overclocked 8350s. No I do not think it's worth it at even that price because 200 for the CPU and 200 for the motherboard can get you an i7 and a cheap board which will demolish those chips.

Actually an i7 would be cheaper by a couple dollars.

This is the only board on Newegg that officially supports 220w TDP chips although the Asus Sabertooth and Crosshair have them on the support list they warn about thermals and specify only 140w TDP in their list.

haha alright, I just finally placed my order for the full build with the i5 4570 :)

And don't forget like I mentioned several times before. Haswell refresh will be releasing in a month or two and you can always get an i7 later whether it be 4770k or 4970k.

Yes, I was just thinking of my easy upgrade options for the future right before I submitted my order. :)

Yea I think so too :), Thanks for all of your help, and you should see me around in the future :)

The only thing that's going to be uninterruptible is me when i'm gaming on this thing. lol that is until the power goes out.. damn ;)
