Weird problem when playing Starcraft (Internet)

Yes, I know! Starcraft what an ugly game. But I'm just making that as an example because this problem is overall I think.
I have Windows XP Pro (English) and I have Korean as the 2nd language writing thingy. Whenever I connect (Any online game), I connect to Korean channel. Now, in Starcraft, I can only see Korean games, ( I live in Canada) and all those games have 5 lag bars. (And I can barely join any of them) When I make games, my friends say my latency is too high. It seems like my internet is being connected to a Korean server and coming back to Canada to use it.

I have Cable and I ping around 50-70 so I'm sure its not my internet. I have no problem with games like CS, COD. Is there a way to make your internet connect to a Canadian//US server?

Well, I used to play starcraft and one time I was actually ranked 12th in the world. Ok sorry, back on topic. If I remember correctly you can specify the realm(?) that you play on.
