I just got a AMD HD 7950. I have installed the latest driver from the amd website. And my computer is not finding my GPU.

I think i did delete the old driver but is there a way for me to make sure that i did.

The 7950 should use the same driver as the R9 270x= both are AMD cards - so you should not be having any issues with drivers - unless by uninstalling /installing they got messed up. Do you have catalyst fully installed thru the AMD website? - does it recognize the GPU ? Also - try putting the R9 back in the PC - to make sure there isn't anything else wrong. If you put the R9 back in and the system works - then you have to look at the 7950 being the problem. Did you buy the 7950 used?

I did get my 7950 to work. but when i placed my 2nd 7950 in it stopped working. It is not in crossfire.
OK - so you have 2 x 7950's and you are replacing a R9 270x with them? You never answered if they were purchased used or not. It makes more sense now- wondering why you were ditching the R9 270X for a 7950 - it isn't that much better of a card- but if your planning on Crossfiring 2 of them - then they would kick butt.
OK - Situation #1 = One works fine when put in alone. But when you took it out and then put the second one in - it failed = situation #1.
Situation #2 = put one in and it works and then when you place the second one in (so now have 2 7950's in the PC ) they both failed to work even though you did not put a crossfire bridge between the 2 7950's= situation #2.
#1) the second 7950 is a problem with either not being put in correctly ( check to make sure it is fully into the PCI slot or it is not getting power correctly (check the power connections) . If catalyst recognized the first 7950 then it is not a driver issue. It is possible this GPU is bad and needs to be returned/replaced.
#2) if you have both 7950's in the PC at the same time without a crossfire bridge - i am not sure they are even supposed to work without the bridge = beyond my knowledge. Are you trying to crossfire them - is that the plan ? Do you have a good enough PSU to power both 7950's properly and a MOBO that supports crossfire?
