Hi Hi Hi there..

When I log into a windows network share using password and username I connect OK.

Now when I disconnect I can login again without supplying username and password.

Whats going on?Are the details held in a cache?Where? for how long?

Is there a way to entirely disconnect from a share?

All help much appreciated.

Babaton.

The network at my college cache the users profile on the local computer for up to 10 logons and its all kept in "c:\documents and settings" Dont know weather this helps you. i kno you can stop it from caching your logons by using the local security policy (secpol.msc) the option you need is in the "local policies" > "security options" then look for the option which says "Number of previous logons to cache...." double clcik it and select it to "0" then delete the folders in the "documents and settings folder" that you dont want to be cached.

That should work, Hope it helps :)
