Now I'm not sure but I think I wont be able because something to do with Intel and AMD having different sockets,this means I will have to replace my mobo,will I also have to get new mem and a new GPU?

To use that CPU you need a new AM3+ motherboard and DDR3.

Yeah, need AM3 motherboard and new ram to go with that CPU.

Really depends on what you need to upgrade your computer for exactly? Are you going to be gaming? Budget? These things help us out a lot.

The GPU you have should be fine for most games I would think.

The 7770 is adequate for medium to high gaming at your resolution. The FX6300 would be a great upgrade but I'm more concerned with your prebuilt system. Need to know what model it is so we can hook you up with a motherboard for the CPU and make sure your PSU is good enough to handle the extra power consumption of the thirsty AMD processor.
