Very confusing [Don't know what to call the title]

I have a Samsung S20B300N (20 Inch LED) monitor connected to my PS3 via a HDMI to DVI Cable/Converter. My monitor doesn't have any built in speakers, so you see the problem is I can play PS3 without hearing the sound. I have been looking around Amazon and I have seen some cheap USB speakers.

If I do purchase it, since it is a USB speaker, I don't know where to place the USB. My monitor doesn't have a USB port, however the PS3 does. So do I place it to the PS3 USB port. If the USB speakers aren't compatible then, can you link me to a compatible speaker?

hmm i dont if the usb speaker will be compatible but i had to use this adapters for my 360 wen i was in ur situation.
assuming you still have the 3m AV Audio Video Cable for the ps3

u can just use the red and white for the audio and the hdmi for video
