It's not a bad cpu. I'm just partial to INTEL myself, so it's a preference thing. I'm sure when PP mguire gets online, he'll have some other insights to offer as well. Keep doing research, and look at all your options, but to me it makes sense not to waste your money just getting something to "hold you over".

Yeah I can understand that I'll keep this thread updated but I was thinking about going with this combo http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1475292 and I'll get to my Psu after work to see if it's compatible
