I recently switched my hp slimeline mobo into an older acer case with its power supply. There is no spot for the old acer on switch to go into the hp mobo. Can I just buy an on switch? Or am I missing something. I've posted pictures. The computer will turn on and boot when I connect the power supply. I just want to make sure I have all the proper components connect.

Trace your power button cable to find the header it's in. You can try plugging that header into the spot where it says F_Panel on the board in the pic. I have a feeling you'll need to take the cables out of the header and try each combination of pins to find out which ones are for power.

I'm going to say try these two first ;)

I did. And I brought the old on switch over. When I use a psu tester, the psu runs, but when I plug it into the mobo it doesn't work. It was working before. I'm stumped.
