I recently bought a mini tower computer from ebay it is a dell dimension 5000 it had no operating system so I got it a bit cheaper. I installed windows7 all went well except that I have no sound I have tried everything I know to get sound to no avail. I have come to the conclusion that the sound card may have become unseated. I want to get in to have a look but I have found that it has the plastic pull out thing on the top at the back to release the panel I find that the panel has been riveted in with small rivets. I could force them out but would I need to purchase a rivet gun to re-rivet or would the panel stay on without having to do this. I have sent off for an external sound card but being impatient I would like to get in to have a look at the present sound card.
