Hi pros,

Can you help me with the drivers of this laptop?

Since I can't find your model number on Toshiba's website, please do the following:

For each device listed that has a yellow exclamation:

Right click > Properties > Details tab > under Property, select Hardware Ids, and where it shows "VEN_####&DEV_####", post that alphanumeric string.

No VENs & DEVs for the Bluetooth devices, but here are the others.

Ethernet Controller
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_FC301179&REV_05
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_FC301179
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_0200

PCI Simple Communications Controller
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_FC301179&REV_04
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_FC301179
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&CC_078000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&CC_0780

SM Bus Controller
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&SUBSYS_FC301179&REV_04
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&SUBSYS_FC301179
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&CC_0C0500
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&CC_0C05

Additionally, I have attached an image of Toshiba website which also show how the model is considered. But you cannot download from it.

The 1st and 3rd links are working. The 2nd gives a Bad Request page. But the 3rd driver's taken care of the 2nd and 3rd devices which were shown in the Device Manager console.

Thanks carnageX!

Can you enlighten me about those VENs and DEVs?

Glad you got it working.

The VEN is the device vendor or manufacturer and the DEV is the device ID. I use www.pcidatabase.com to look up the VEN then search in the list for the correct device using the DEV ID.

Hi again,

I cannot find a driver for the touchpad (Win7 64). It neither is in the website nor shows as an unknown device in the device manager.

The TP isn't working properly. Sometimes it works normally and sometimes it behaves weirdly. I'd like to make sure whether it's software or hardware.

Thanks,

One helluva necro. Lol.

Under Control Panel -> Mouse does it show it's a Synaptics touchpad? If so, just go to Synaptics.com and their Downloads page and download the latest drivers.

If not or you're not sure, find your touchpad under Mice section in Device Manager and see what info it gives you there (if it's generic info, use post the VEN and DEV ID's like I instructed previously).
