Help me please

Andy, you may need to update your drivers but until I know what motherboard it is, I don't know what drivers to tell you to use.

Also, investing in a decent set of speakers can help. I know, I about blasted myself out of the room just by changing speakers! Liz
 
Okay, Andy, know that you and I have figured out that you have the Realtek AC97 audio drivers, I can help. First we need to go to Intel's web site and hunt down the link. So I will see if I can find that. Liz
 
Whether your audio is on-board or PCI or whatever, you should try updating your sound drivers to the latest version.

if iconnected the computer to thenet, would i be able to update the drivers withuot having to look for them?

Yes. You can find the latest driver for your ausio on your manufacturer's website.

If you can't download it to that computer, download it to the other and copy it to a cd and transfer it. Liz
