Replacing graphics card, compatible?

Hey guys, so my PC is outdated and my 8800GTS is overheating and needs replaced. I won't be building the rest of my new system for a few months but am looking to buy the graphics card early to replace my broken 8800.

Not sure if compatible with my current motherboard.

So, is the 760 GTX compatible with the Gigabyte GA_P35_DS3R motherboard? If not, what would be the cheapest card right now equivelent or slightly better than the 8800GTS? Cheers

Sick! Also, what advice would you give on card manufacturers? Different brands have slightly different prices, but in terms of performance is there much difference?

My top three are EVGA, Asus, and XFX. For higher-end cards I much prefer EVGA though.
You'll normally see 2GB versions and 4GB ones, and then various models of those as well. Most of the time, the difference lies in clock speeds.

I like Sapphire for AMD cards and EVGA for Nvidia cards, and Asus for both.

I second eVGA, and more importantly reference boards. I prefer XFX for AMD cards.
