Windows 8 install can't find my hard drive

Use a different browser (IE, FireFox, Chrome, etc.) to make sure the ISO you downloaded didn't corrupt during download on YOUR end.

I keep getting an error when installing chrome and IE crashes every time I try to use it...sigh (I'm using firefox atm.)

I got in! I had to plug in a different keyboard now I am at a screen that looks similar to the main page when I log in do you know what I'm talking about? What to do now?

I get an error message when I click apply when setting it to NTFS.

Unable to detect file system possible reasons

The file system is damaged


The file system is unknown to gparted

There is no file system available

The device entry dev sdb1 is missing

looks DOA to me......

Do you have the sata and power cables plugged in securely on the hard drive? is the SATA cable plugged in securely to the motherboard?
Is this a brand new drive?
