How to fix ghosting keys?

So I had a Sager custom laptop since 8/12 and it has been working alright. My university offers a free upgrade to Windows 7 from whatever was before that. I downloaded and installed the new version. However, I am not sure if it is related with the problem or not, but my keyboard has been ghosting for at least a couple months.

For example, I will hold down w and then add a, and it will go
wwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaa
But ghosting occurs when I hold down w and then add d
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
The d is completely unregistered.

This poses a huge problem mainly in gaming and I would like to fix that. For example, when I play GTA4, by holding down w and d I am supposed to go diagonally to the right, but right now nothing is happening. Can anyone help me?

did you go to the Sager web site and get all the available drivers for your hardware?...especially the chipset, touchpad and keyboard

Yes, from what I have seen the only thing relevant is called HotKeys, but it is for keyboard shortcuts, not the entire keyboard driver. I also "uninstalled" my keyboard using the Control Panel -> Keyboard -> Uninstall, but nothing happens.
